- 2Separate the brown butter into two bowls, allowing one to cool.

- 4Add cocoa powder and vanilla extract to the chocolate mixture and mix until combined.
- 5Combine brown sugar and eggs in a separate bowl and whisk until light and fluffy.
- 6Pour the chocolate and brown butter mixture into the egg and sugar mixture and mix until combined.
- 7Add flour and salt to the chocolate batter and fold with a rubber spatula until the flour is nearly mixed in.
- 8Add chocolate chips and fold to distribute evenly for the brownie batter.
- 9Combine cooled brown butter with brown and granulated sugars and mix.
- 10Add eggs to the sugar and butter mixture and mix until paler and thicker.
- 11Add vanilla extract and mix to combine.
- 12Add flour, baking powder, salt, and espresso powder to the cookie batter and fold with a spatula until almost all the flour is mixed in.
- 13Add chocolate chips and mix until no flour remains for the cookie dough.
- 14Alternate transferring both doughs into a parchment-lined 8x8 pan.
- 15Bake the brookies until a knife inserted comes out mostly clean, indicating they are ready.
- 16Release on good behavior.
