Clip Recipe works with cooking videos from YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, and also with links to recipe web pages such as blog posts. Videos should be no longer than 5 minutes in duration.

Not at all! The video can simply be a series of images showing someone making the recipe. Our models analyze three elements: audio, visuals, and text. So even if the video only shows the actions of someone cooking, without any audio, it will work. If there’s an overlay with instructions or an explanation, our models will take that into account too!

You can start for free: every Resident Chef subscription opens with a 7-day free trial, so you get unlimited extractions for a week at no cost. You add a card when you sign up and it is charged on day 7 — $3.95 per month or $39.50 per year — unless you cancel first, in which case you pay nothing. The free trial is one per account: if you have subscribed before, a new subscription starts billing immediately. There is no permanently free plan, and Master Chef (a one-time $149 purchase with lifetime access) is not a trial.

Our AI system is highly accurate in extracting recipe information, but we recommend reviewing the extracted content to ensure everything matches your needs and expectations.

If you exceed your purchased recipe limit, you can purchase a new plan at any time and your existing recipes will be preserved!
