- 5Pan-sear the marinated tofu fillets until golden brown.
- 6Crush corn flakes by hand or blitz them in a food processor.
- 7If using panko, toast them in a pan with some oil or butter until golden brown.
- 8Alternatively, toss panko with oil in a bowl and microwave until golden brown.
- 9Dredge the seared tofu in seasoned flour.
- 10Dip the floured tofu in plant milk mixed with vinegar and hot sauce.
- 11Finally, coat the tofu in panko breadcrumbs or crushed corn flakes.
- 12Spray the breaded tofu with oil.
- 13Air fry for 10 to 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- 14Serve the crispy tofu between buns with lettuce and enjoy.
