Chuletas de Puerco

Directions

  1. 1Finely chop the cilantro.
  2. 2Slice the onion.
  3. 3Roughly chop the roma tomatoes.
  4. 4Slice and dice the jalapeno, removing the seeds if desired.
  5. 5Season both sides of the pork chops with garlic powder, ground cumin, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  6. 6Heat olive oil in a pan and sear the pork chops in batches.
  7. 7Remove the seared pork chops from the pan and set aside.
  8. 8Add onion and jalapeno to the same pan and cook until the onion starts to caramelize.
  9. 9Add the chopped tomatoes, cilantro, water, tomato sauce, and chicken bouillon to the pan.
  10. 10Simmer the sauce until the tomatoes begin to break down.
  11. 11Add the pork chops to the pan, coating them evenly with the salsa mixture.
  12. 12Cover the pan and cook on medium-low heat.
