Directions
1
Take two sticks of butter and leave them on the counter to soften.
2
Start whipping the softened butter in your mixer (KitchenAid or hand mixer).
3
Slowly add in one cup of slightly chilled evaporated milk, one tablespoon at a time, while continuing to mix.
4
Scrape down the sides of the bowl often as you mix.
5
Once all the milk is incorporated, the butter is ready to be used.
6
If not using immediately, store the butter in the refrigerator.
7
When ready to use from the refrigerator, allow it to warm up slightly before whipping to ensure it spreads well.
Ingredients
1 pound butter
1 cup evaporated milk
Equipment
mixer
bowl
spatula
Tips
This butter is not shelf-stable and should be stored in the refrigerator.
If pulling from the refrigerator, let it warm up a bit before whipping for better spreadability.
