Directions
- 1Add 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour to a large bowl.

- 3Add a half teaspoon of salt to the bowl.
- 4Whisk all dry ingredients together in the bowl.
- 5Place one stick of room-temperature butter into the KitchenAid mixer bowl.
- 6Add 6 tablespoons of granulated sugar to the mixer bowl.
- 7Add half a cup of firmly packed light brown sugar to the mixer bowl.
- 8Mix the butter and sugars together using the KitchenAid mixer.
- 9Add one large egg to the mixture.
- 10Add one teaspoon of vanilla extract to the mixture.
- 11Mix the batter together on a low speed until incorporated.
- 12Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients while the mixer is on a low speed.
- 13Add 2 and 1/4 cups of chocolate chips to the dough.
- 14Add 2 and 1/4 cups of chocolate chunks to the dough.
- 15Mix the chocolate chips and chunks into the cookie dough with a spoon.
- 16Roll the cookie dough into balls and flatten them slightly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 17Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 10 or 11 minutes.
- 18Remove the cookies from the oven when their edges are golden brown.
- 19Clean up the kitchen area while the cookies are baking.
