Directions
- 1Add sugar to a large mixing bowl.
- 2Add the zest of 2 lemons to the sugar.
- 3Mix the sugar and lemon zest together by hand.
- 4Crack 2 whole eggs into the bowl with the sugar and lemon zest.
- 5Add 2 egg whites to the bowl.
- 6Melt 1.5 sticks of butter in a saucepan.
- 7Pour the melted butter into the bowl with the other ingredients.
- 8Add 1 tsp of vanilla extract to the mixture.
- 9Whisk all the ingredients together until well combined and smooth.
- 10Pour 3 tbsp of lemon juice into the mixture and whisk again.
- 11Add 1.25 cups of flour to the wet ingredients.
- 12Whisk until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
- 13Pour the batter into a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
- 14Spread the batter evenly in the pan with a spatula.
- 15Bake the brownies until golden.
- 16Pour a generous amount of white lemon glaze over the baked brownies.
- 17Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the brownies using a spatula.
- 18Cut the glazed lemon brownies into even squares.
