In a bowl, mix together 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour, 1 tsp baking soda, and ½ tsp baking powder.

In a separate bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened unsalted butter and 1 ½ cups of sugar.

Add one large egg to the creamed butter mixture and mix well.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Chill the dough for 1 hour.

Roll the dough into balls using a cookie scoop and coat them with sugar.

Bake at 375°F for 8-11 minutes.

Cool and serve.
