Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper.
2Crack 3 eggs into a bowl.
3Whisk the eggs in a bowl.
4Add melted butter, cocoa powder, vanilla, and chopped chocolate to the whisked eggs and mix until smooth.
5Add all-purpose flour to the mixture.
6Mix until well combined.
7Crack 1 egg into a bowl for the cookie layer.
8Add melted butter and sugar to the egg.
9Whisk until smooth and fluffy.
10Add all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and chocolate chips.
11Mix until just combined.
12Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
13Dollop the cookie dough mixture over the brownie batter.
14Add chocolate chips on top.
15Bake for 50-55 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center is a little fudgy.
16Let cool completely before cutting into brookies.
