Directions
- 1Make brown butter by cooking unsalted butter until it turns golden brown.
- 2Cook butter over medium heat until it bubbles, no moisture evaporates, and it turns golden brown.
- 3Strain the butter to remove solids, then add 1-2 ice cubes to reduce the temperature and replenish moisture.
- 4Add sugar, eggs, salt, and vanilla to the butter mixture. Mix well until the sugar is 80% dissolved.
- 5Add flour, baking powder, and baking soda, and mix until just combined.
- 6Add chocolate chips and chunks, mixing until evenly distributed.
- 7Cover and refrigerate the dough for one hour.
- 8Scoop dough onto a baking sheet, adding extra chocolate on top.
- 9Bake at 180 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
