Directions
- 1Put 3/4 cup of butter on low heat on the stove.
- 2Wait for the butter to bubble up.
- 3Continue cooking until it turns a beautiful golden brown color.
- 4Take the browned butter off the heat and add 1 cup of light brown sugar and 1/4 cup of white sugar to it.
- 5Mix until just combined.
- 6Add 1 large egg yolk, 1 whole egg, and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract.
- 7Mix until combined.
- 8Add 1 3/4 cups of spooned and leveled all-purpose flour.
- 9Add 3/4 teaspoon of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- 10Mix until just combined.
- 11Add 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips (or 8oz of chopped chocolate).
- 12Mix the chocolate chips into the dough.
- 13Scoop your cookie dough into 2oz balls.
- 14Roll the dough balls between your hands.
- 15Add a few more pieces of chocolate to the top of each cookie dough ball.
- 16Chill the cookies for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.
- 17Cover the cookies before placing them in the fridge.
- 18Bake the cookies at 350°F (175°C) for 11 to 12 minutes.
- 19Top your baked cookies with a little sea salt.

Tips
