Whisk the mixture really well together until combined.

(Optional) Heat the mixture for 3-5 minutes, stirring until slightly thickened.

Let the mixture cool or just pour it directly into your recipe and continue cooking.

Cornstarch mixed with milk isn’t technically heavy whipping cream, but it does a great job mimicking the thickness and richness.
