In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 cup of sugar, 2 tablespoons of corn syrup, and ½ cup of evaporated milk.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches 210°F.

Add 2 cups of toasted pecans and 3 tablespoons of butter.

Continue stirring until the mixture reaches 230°F.

Remove from heat, remove thermometer, and beat vigorously for about 2 seconds.

Using two spoons, drop the mixture onto parchment paper to form pralines.

Let the pralines cool and set for about an hour.
