Directions
- 1Combine sugar and flour in a saucepan.
- 2Add salt.
- 3Crack eggs into a separate bowl.
- 4Add eggs to the saucepan.
- 5Add evaporated milk and mix all ingredients together.
- 6Heat the mixture, stirring to prevent scrambling, then add milk.
- 7Pour the mixture through a strainer to catch any egg bits.
- 8Rinse the mixture with more milk.
- 9Pour the mixture into an ice cream machine.
- 10Add vanilla extract.
- 11Add ice and salt to the ice cream machine.
- 12Pack down and let freeze.
- 13Add salt and ice to the outside, then insulate with towels.
- 14Scoop out the ice cream and put it in cups to let it freeze anyway.
