Directions
- 1Cut one stick of unsalted butter into pieces and place them in a 13x9 inch baking pan.
- 2Place the baking pan with butter into the oven at 375°F (190°C) until the butter melts down.
- 3While the butter is melting, pour three cans of sliced peaches into a pot.
- 4Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the peaches.
- 5Add 1 cup of sugar to the peaches.
- 6Add a fourth cup of brown sugar to the peaches.
- 7Add 2 teaspoons of cinnamon to the peaches.
- 8Mix the peach mixture well to combine all ingredients.
- 9For the batter, add 1 cup of all-purpose flour to a mixing bowl.
- 10Add 1 cup of sugar to the flour.
- 11Add 1 tablespoon of baking powder to the mixture.
- 12Add a pinch of salt to the mixture.
- 13Add 1 cup of whole milk to the dry ingredients.
- 14Stir the batter mixture until it has a pancake-like consistency, but a little looser.
- 15Thicken the peach mixture slightly until it reaches the desired texture.
- 16Pour the batter mixture directly on top of the melted butter in the baking pan.
- 17Pour the peach mixture on top of the batter mixture. Do not stir.
- 18Bake in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 35 to 40 minutes.
