Directions
- 1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 2Poke fork holes in your pie shells.
- 3Peel, wash, and cut up four sweet potatoes.
- 4Put the cut sweet potatoes in a pot to boil.
- 5Boil until the potatoes are softened.
- 6Strain the water off the potatoes and put them in a bowl.
- 7Add two large eggs to the potatoes.
- 8Add 1 1/2 cups of white granulated sugar.
- 9Add 1 cup of brown sugar.
- 10Add 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
- 11Add 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg.
- 12Add 1/3 cup of evaporated milk.
- 13Add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda.
- 14Add four tablespoons of all-purpose flour.
- 15Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla.
- 16Melt two sticks of butter.
- 17Pour the melted butter into your bowl with the other ingredients.
- 18Blend them together.
- 19Pour the pie mix into the two pie shells.
- 20Put on the middle rack and bake for one hour.
- 21When you take them out of the oven, let them cool off.
