Directions
- 1Cream together softened butter and sugar in a red mixing bowl.
- 2Add eggs one by one to the butter and sugar mixture.
- 3Add vanilla to the mixture.
- 4Beat the mixture with an electric hand mixer until well combined.
- 5Add melted unsweetened baking chocolate to the mixture and mix until combined.
- 6In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- 7Alternately stir in the flour mixture and milk into the chocolate mixture, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
- 8Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for at least 3 hours.
- 9Roll the chilled dough into small balls.
- 10Dredge each dough ball thoroughly in powdered sugar.
- 11Place the coated dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 12Bake the cookies until they are set and cracked on top.
- 13Remove baked cookies from the baking sheet and cool on a wire rack.
