Directions

1In a large bowl, pour 720 ml of chilled heavy cream.
2Beat the heavy cream using an electric mixer until soft peaks form.
3Add honey to the whipped cream.
4Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the whipped cream.
5Continue beating until stiff peaks form.
6In a saucepan, add brown sugar, granulated sugar, and water. Stir to combine.
7Add orange slices to the liquid mixture in the saucepan.
8In a bowl, combine granulated sugar, eggs, and vegetable oil. Whisk until well combined.
9Add vanilla extract, orange juice, and orange zest to the egg mixture. Whisk well.
10Sift flour, baking powder, and salt into the wet ingredients.
11Stir until the batter is smooth.
12Grease and flour a round cake pan.
13Sprinkle a small amount of granulated sugar at the bottom of the pan.
14Arrange the cooked orange slices on the bottom of the prepared cake pan.
15Pour the cake batter over the orange slices in the pan.
