Directions
- 1Put 3/4 of a cup of butter on low heat on the stove and cook until it turns a golden brown color.
- 2Take the browned butter off the heat.
- 3Add in 1 cup of brown sugar and 1/4 cup of white sugar and mix until just combined.
- 4Add in one large egg yolk, one whole egg, and one tablespoon of vanilla and mix.
- 5Add in 1 and 3/4 cups of spoon and level all-purpose flour, 3/4 teaspoon baking soda, and 1 teaspoon salt.
- 6Mix the dough until just combined.
- 7Add in 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips or 8 oz of chopped chocolate.
- 8Scoop the cookie dough into 2 oz balls.
- 9Roll the cookie dough balls between your hands.
- 10Add a few more pieces of chocolate to the top of each cookie.
- 11Chill the cookies for at least 30 minutes, covering them and placing them in the fridge.
- 12When ready, bake the cookies at 350°F for 11 to 12 minutes.
- 13Top your cookies with a little sea salt.
