Directions
1
Combine 1 1/2 cups of powdered milk, 2 cups of granulated sugar, and 2 cups of corn starch together well, ensuring it's all incorporated.
2
Optionally, add 1 tablespoon of vanilla powder if you have it. If not, vanilla extract can be added later when preparing the pudding.
3
To make vanilla pudding, combine 1/2 cup of the mix with 2 cups of milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
4
On the stove top, bring the pudding mixture to a boil and simmer for approximately 10 minutes, or until your desired thickness is achieved.
5
Store the unused mix in an airtight container at room temperature until ready to use.
Ingredients
1.5 cup powdered milk
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups corn starch
1 tablespoon vanilla powder
2 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups whipping cream
Equipment
airtight container
Tips
To activate the cornstarch and thicken the pudding, heat is required.
Store the mix in an airtight container at room temperature.
This mix can be used as a moisture enhancer in cake mix (1/2 cup of mix per box of cake mix).
For a cool whip substitute, combine 2 cups of whipping cream with 1/2 cup of this mix.
