Directions
- 1Wash the rice clean until the water is clear.
- 2Combine rice, water, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and bay leaves in a pot and cook on full heat until there is no layer of water on top.
- 3Cover the pot with a cloth and a weight and cook on low heat.
- 4Remove from heat and let sit, keeping the cloth cover and weight on.

- 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
- 2-3 whole bay leaf
- coriander leaf (optional)
