Directions
- 1In a stand mixer, mix 4 pounds of softened unsalted butter and 1/2 a teaspoon of salt for 20 minutes.
- 2Halfway through mixing, scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl to incorporate everything nicely.
- 3Add 2 pounds of powdered sugar and 4 tablespoons of vanilla extract to the whipped butter.
- 4Mix until well combined.
- 5Let the buttercream rest on the counter for about 24 hours in a container.
