Butter your casserole dish.

Tear the croissants into pieces and place them in the casserole dish.

Add the white sugar, brown sugar, whole milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and Grand Marnier liqueur to the eggs.

Pour the mixture over the croissants in the casserole dish.

Pat down the croissants to make sure they are all moistened.

Cover the casserole dish with plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator overnight.

The next day, combine flour, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cut-up regular salted butter to make the topping.
