Directions

1Brown butter and let cool slightly.
2Whisk brown butter with sugars until glossy.
3Add eggs and vanilla to the butter and sugar mixture.
4Sift in the dry ingredients until just combined.
5Fold in chocolate.
6Chill cookie dough for at least 1 hour.
7Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 pan with parchment.
8Melt butter with chocolate chips.
9Whisk in olive oil and cocoa powder.
10In another bowl, whisk sugars, eggs, and vanilla.
11Combine the egg mixture with the chocolate mixture.
12Fold in flour until just mixed.
13Pour half the brownie batter into the pan and spread evenly.
14Add chunks of cookie dough across the surface (don’t cover fully).
15Pour remaining brownie batter over top.
16Finish with more cookie dough pieces pressed lightly on top.
