Ingredients: 2 lb lean ground beef; 0.5 cup diced onion; 2 cloves minced garlic; 1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes; 2 6 oz cans tomato paste; 2 15.5 oz cans canned tomato sauce; 0.5 cup water; 2 tsp white sugar; 1.5 tsp dried basil leaves; 0.5 tsp fennel seeds; 1 tsp Italian seasoning; 1.5 tsp salt; 0.2 tsp black pepper; 1 tsp ground black pepper; 4 tbsp chopped fresh parsley; 16 oz ricotta cheese; 0.8 pound mozzarella cheese, sliced; 0.8 cup grated Parmesan cheese; 4 cups whole large eggs; 5 large eggs yolks

Directions

1Saute onion and garlic for a few minutes.
2Add ground beef and cook until brown.
3Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste and tomato sauce.
4Add basil, Italian seasoning, fennel, sugar, salt and pepper, parsley, water and cook for one and a half hour.
5Make a dough with eggs and flour.
6Let it rest for 30 minutes.
7Cut it into eight pieces and make them thin.
8Cook in boiling water for five to six minutes.
9Mix ricotta with parsley, egg, rosemary, salt and pepper.
10Slice some mozzarella cheese.
11Assemble the lasagna: meat, pasta, ricotta, meat again and Parmesan.
12Repeat the layers (three layers were made).
13Bake for 25 minutes under foil and 25 without at 375°F.
